I chose this as the feature bathroom, not only because of the great results, it has a little of everything
The homeowner (Susan) was very active in selecting tile, faucets, etc.  Susan had a flair for pulling the "whole
look" together.
We joked about the choices she made. as I felt uneasy with some of the choices, at first. Susan managed to
change my view on a number of things and I have to credit her with broadening my spectrum!
It was a fun job to do and the end results were terrific.
The two upper pictures are the
original bathroom that dated
back to the mid 70's

We managed to save the tub
(which was in fine condition).

The two lower pictures are the
after shots. Notice the post was
removed at the shower.
The tile used was a Travertine
tile. The decorative trim pieces
added an elegance that is not
overbearing and is unlikely to
date the home anytime soon!
Feature Bathroom    Albans, West University Place
Many times we can save the existing
cabinets and install new doors and
drawer fronts. These cabinets were
redone completly,
Notice the backsplash tile is a carry
over from the tub and shower.
No bending and reaching for items in
hard to get areas. Full extension
drawers add a nice touch.
Nice knobs and pulls finish it off nicely.
The granite tops add a virtually
indestructible surface. The floor tile
has insets that match the tops! The
square sinks and faucets ewere where
Susan and I had some disagreements.
She won me over in the end.
Left: The granite inserts with the floor
tile.

Right: The Travertine tile, shower
fixtures and corner caddies (shelves)
make the shower an inviting space.
Susan stands proud in her bathroom.
We never rush our clients. We would
rather see you take the time to select
what you want. Thats how you end up
with the perfect bathroom.
Just a few more little touches Susan
was so good with.
This home is located on Wink in
the Memorial area.
I hope you can tell the upper photo is

The new vanity  top is a cultured
marble unit.
This was a relatively simple remodel.
Most people are nervous about using
colors of any sort.
I have always said if you plan on
staying in the home a long time then
choose what you like!
If you are going to seel in the near
future you may want to tone it down.
Some areas of town are more
accepting of colors than others.
This job is located in the Spring area.
The cultured marble top has an 8"
spread faucet and a recessed oval
bowl.
The french doors open in from the
Master Bedroom.
The tub is a whirlpool unit and is wired
with a ground fault plub
