WHO WILL COME OUT?
As the owner of the business I insist on being the only one to estimate our (larger) jobs. This
way we have a perfect understanding of what we are trying to accomplish. I am not a
salesperson that is going to say what you want to hear to get the job. I have to make it work. I
have no one to blame or pass the buck to.

WHAT PRODUCTS SHOULD I USE FOR MY REMODEL?
Call me old fashioned. New products scare me! Approx. 98% of the new products that hit the
market are gone within a year. I don't want you to be a guinea pig for a company trying to
receive its share of the market by tricking people with false claims. I have used the same
suppliers since we started in business. Most of our suppliers aren't the biggest in town, though
we feel they are the best.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT PRODUCTS TO SELECT FOR MY REMODEL?
Nobody can have a showroom large enough to carry all the options available. We start by
discussing your options. We will show you the most popular samples. At that time I have a
good feel for what you wish to achieve. We will then write an estimate with allowances for
products you are showing interest in. Once you have read the estimate and feel comfortable
we can visit some of the suppliers. An added benefit to maintaining customer relations is that
many of our customers have
offered to let our new customers visit there project to help with the decision making. We will
never rush you into a decision or play the hard sell.

WILL I BE BILLED FOR EXTRAS?
Many contractors make it a practice to get in the door with a low price and make up the
difference with the extras. At Copus Construction we have a different approach. You will notice
our estimate is very detailed. We know from experience that when you change a kitchen
counter and add a tile backsplash that you will want to change your outlets and switches. This
will be in your estimate and priced up front. If you add or upgrade there will of course be
additional charges. Most times we are able to price these before you commit. We do our very
best to hold our estimate at the original amount. We
do not nickel and dime you to death!

WHY SHOULD I USE COPUS CONSTRUCTION?
#1 Chances are you were referred to us by someone we've worked for.
#2 We don't hire off the street. All our workers come to us through friends or customers. (theft
is never a problem)
#3 We never talk down to our customers.
#4 We put out an excellent product at a very fair price.
#5 Having worked in this area since 1978, I am very familiar with all types of construction in the
area.

A PROMISE: in 1996 Copus Construction had a work crew of 25 and an office crew of 6
including a full time advertising person. We had three large billboards, displays at bank of
America and signs on
Kroger shopping carts. I steadily saw the quality of our work deteriorate.
There is a reason why there are no nationwide remodeling businesses, it is impossible to
manage on a larger scale.
We are now a company that maintains a smaller workforce.  Our quality is back to where I can
sleep at night again.

WHEN CAN YOU START?
The one downfall with downsizing. While the benefits are many, scheduling is my hardest job.
While it is always in my best interest to finish a job we won't rush a job to maintain a schedule.
Once on a job we stay with it.

DO YOU SUB YOUR WORK OUT?
My goal in business has always been to have an "in house" company. This is where our crew
does all the work. When work is subbed everyone blames everyone else for problems, (who
scratched the tub?). In our case there is no one to blame. We are responsible. There are rare
occasions when we may bring in a tradesman.
